Most of the time, having pimples on face can be very disappointing. I’ve experienced it all. I’ve lost my confidence, I got too shy to go outside, and sometimes I avoid talking to people just because of my condition. I know how it feels and all I can say is that it really sucks. That’s why when I got rid of my pimples I became so happy and relieved. Now I want to share with you the things that I avoid to prevent pimples on my face.

You see, there are things that you have to avoid to help your skin to look and feel better. In this article, I’m going to share with you the things that are weakening the healing process of your skin and probably making your acne worse.

1. Over the counter remedies

While using over the counter remedies can help treat your acne quickly, it does make it worse in the long run. Over the counter remedies treats your acne at first, but what you don’t know is that it makes your skin thinner (which worsen your condition in the long run). In addition, over the counter remedies does not prevent the root of your acne that’s why I don’t recommend using over the counter remedies. You can treat your face externally but with the use of natural products such as diluted tea tree oil.

2. Bullying your pimples on face (popping and squeezing)

Avoid popping and/or squeezing your pimples as much as possible even if it looks safe to squeeze. The thing about popping your pimples is that it can aggravate the inflammation as it is pushed deeper and wider in your face. What I can recommend you to do if you want to pop it is to consult it with a professional and let them deal with the popping. It’s safer that way as it prevents further scarring.

3. Smoking

There are tons of bad effects of smoking. Smoking can cause serious lung and heart diseases plus it also affects your skin. When you smoke, the blood vessel and small capillaries of your skin gets contracted. If it gets contracted, your skin will not get sufficient amount of oxygen which is badly needed to create and sustain a healthy skin.

4. Taking Antibiotics

The bad thing about taking antibiotics (like tetracycline) is that it severely damages your internal system when taken for a long time. Antibiotics kills all the bacteria in your system but what you don’t know is that it also kills the GOOD bacteria that is very important in maintaining a clear skin. Yes, we also have good bacteria in our body.

Keep in mind that using over the counter remedies is not good for your long term. It doesn’t kill the main root that causes your acne and it only makes you dependent on it which only makes your acne worse.

What I advise you to do is to understand the main causes of your acne. I’ve also tried a lot of things to get rid of my pimples on face but most of them did not work. Good thing I’ve found the solution to my acne problem once and for all.
